Cancellations and Refunds
Events and classes may be cancelled due to weather, lack of participation, or other conditions. In the event that EXG cancels an activity, full refunds will be issued. It is imperative that all registrants note their contact information with every registration so that we can notify them of cancellations.
A registrant may also cancel. Full refunds will be issued with a 48 hour cancellation notice. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 48 prior to the event or activity.

Conduct
Sportsman-like conduct is appreciated at all games, classes and activities. Persons causing disruption, either verbally or physically, will be asked to leave the area. Cheating or purposefully not abiding by game rules will be grounds for dismissal from games, and no refund will be issued. In team events, if one member of the team cheats or skirts game rules, both team members will be disqualified from the event and will forfeit entry fees. Should a participant or team win an event, and later it is discovered that cheating occurred, the participant or member will be removed from the final standings, and a new winner will be announced. An email with the new winner list and the reason for the new list will be sent to all registrants/participants in the event. All efforts, up to and including legal action, will be taken to recover any winner’s prizes. Newly ranked winners will only be issued warranted and advertised prizes if and when the original prize is recovered from the disbarred participant(s).
Participants mistreating their horse, or others’ horses, will be asked to leave the premises, and no refund will be given. Mistreatment of an egregious nature will be reported to the proper authorities. Participants who harm a horse in any way will not be allowed to register for any future Equine X Games event. Equine X Games management exercises sole authority in determining what constitutes mistreatment and/or harm.

Disputes
Final race ranking is at the full discretion of the event organizers. If a dispute does arise, all parties involved will be allowed to submit one written statement and any evidence to the race organizers. The evidence and statements will then be reviewed and a final decision will be made. The time of the review may vary depending on the type of a dispute and amount of evidence submitted. Once a decision has been made and announced it will be final and cannot be appealed.

Entry Fee
A portion of each registrant's entry fee for X Games events is used to fund the prize pool for that particular game, meaning that the more people who sign up, the more money there is to split between the winners. The remaining entry fee covers event expenses.

Payouts
Once the finalist rankings for a particular X Game event has been established, the prize pool will be paid out to the top ten percent of the competitors. For example, if 20 people compete in an event, the top 2 winners will be paid. If 30 people compete, the top 3 winners will be paid, etc.
*If there is a tie, the prize pool amounts for those tied rankings will be added together and divided by the number of riders who tied for the rankings.
Potential prize pools for each individual event will be posted on the event's page.
The prize pool formula/payout for an example where there are 100 participants is: First place =50% of pool Second place=50% of remaining pool Third place=50% of remaining pool Etc. Fourth through Eighth place Ninth and Tenth place=split remaining pool 75/25

Veterinarian Health Check
Only horses that are healthy at the end of an event will be considered completing the event. If, at any time, a horse becomes lame or sick, riders must pull out of the event. The vet has the ultimate authority to disqualify riders if he/she has any concerns about the soundness of the horse. Process for passing a vet check: Upon arrival at the vet check, the rider will hand his/her card to the timekeeper. The horse must recover within thirty minutes to a heart rate of no more than 60 Beats per Minute (BPM) and be sound, according to criteria set by the vet, to pass or that rider fails the Veterinary Check (VC). The rider has the option to try and check-out sooner than the maximum 30 minutes. The rider can fail only one attempt of checking out of a VC. If the rider fails for a second time they will be disqualified from the event and not considered completing the event.
